What Atomik Menace's website collects, why, and who else sees it: the front page (atomikmenace.com) and the shop.
The short version. Atomik Menace is two people printing to order. We collect what we need to take your order, print it, ship it and answer you. We do not sell your information and there is no mailing list.
When you buy something
You pay by card on Stripe's page, or by Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or PayPal in that app. Either way your card or bank details go to them and never to us. Paying by card, Stripe passes us your name, email address, shipping address, the items, the amount and a payment reference. Paying by Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or PayPal, you type your name, email address and, for anything we post, your shipping address at our checkout, and we note the payment's reference when it arrives. That becomes your order record. Before an order goes in, our checkout runs the same Cloudflare Turnstile check as the request form (below).
The cart asks for your ZIP code so we can calculate shipping and which of our two shops will print your order. The ZIP is kept with the order.
Every email we send about an order carries a private link to that order's page. The link is long and random, and anyone who has it can see the order's status and, for digital products, download the files. Keep it to yourself; if it gets out, tell us and we will cancel it and send you a new one.
Where your order lives
Order records run on Cloudflare, on the same hosting as this shop, in a system behind a login that only the two of us can pass. What is in there is what Stripe passed us, or what you typed at our checkout, the ZIP you gave the cart, which shop printed the order, the tracking number, and any messages between us about it. Your IP address is not stored with the order. An order you pay by Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or PayPal holds its items for you until you pay, so to stop one connection holding up the shop with orders it never pays for, we keep a scrambled form of your IP address, made with a secret key (not the address itself), beside each such order for up to six days, and then it is cleared on its own.
Order records are kept as business records for as long as we are trading, the same as a receipt. Ask us to delete yours after it has shipped and we will, except for what tax records require us to keep.
Emails
We send email only about your order: "your download is ready" for digital products, "shipped, here is the tracking" and "it has arrived" for anything we post (unless you unticked them in the cart), and a new order link or new download links when you ask us for them. Paying by Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or PayPal, you also get how to pay when you order, a reminder if it has not arrived after 2 days, word if we cancel it, and "payment received" when it arrives. Paying by card, Stripe sends the payment receipt. Once, the "it has arrived" email asks how your order turned out, with a link to leave a review; an order the carrier never tracked gets that ask in an email of its own, ten days after it shipped. If you ask to be told when something sold out is back, we send that one email when it is. There are no marketing emails. Our emails go out through Cloudflare, which sees the address and the message to deliver it and nothing else.
Where you came from
If you reached this shop by a link from j7creations.com, the link carries a tag and the shop sets a small cookie to remember it. It tells us which of our two brands brought you in, so the right one is credited. It holds no personal information, does nothing else, and expires on its own. If you clear it, nothing breaks.
Counting visits
Cloudflare counts visits to these sites for us (its Web Analytics): which pages are read, and from which country and kind of browser. It sets no cookies and keeps nothing that identifies you.
The sites also count visits themselves: which pages are seen and what is done on them (a product's photo opened, Customize opened or a color tapped, something added to the cart, checkout opened or refused and why, the filter used, a page that is not there), the site whose link brought you here, the country you are in, whether it is a phone, a tablet or a computer, and how fast the page came. This keeps no IP address, sets no cookie, and keeps nothing that tells one visitor from another, so it cannot follow you. A visit of one page is not counted: until a second page or something you do, your browser holds that first page in this tab alone, and sends it nowhere. What it records is kept for 90 days; after that, only each day's totals stay.
Reviews
If you leave a review, we keep the stars, your words, your first name and a photo if you add one, tied to your order and your customer record. It shows at once on the Reviews page and on the product's page, with your first name, the month and what you bought, and our reply if we write one; never your full name, your town or anything else. A photo is cleaned first: whatever your phone wrote into it (where and when it was taken, the camera) is taken out, and it is kept in our Cloudflare storage. We hide a review only if it is spam or abuse. If you want yours taken down, email us and we will take it off.
Tell me when it is back
If a print is sold out, or one of its colors cannot be made just now, you can leave your email address to be told when it can be bought again. The form runs the same Cloudflare Turnstile check as the request form (below). We keep the address, with the product and the color, for that alone: one email when it is back, and then the address is deleted. If it never comes back, the address is deleted after six months. We keep how many asked for each, without the addresses, to know what people want.
What your browser keeps
Your cart, the ZIP code you gave for shipping, and your choices in the settings menu (the gear at the top of every page) are kept in your own browser, on your device, and so is a conversation with Ben (below), for as long as the tab is open. They reach us only when you ask for a shipping price or check out. "Forget everything this site remembers on this device", in that menu, clears all of it, the cookie above included.
Custom requests
If you fill in a request form, on the front page or in the shop, we receive what you type: your name, email, and what you would like made. It goes into the same system as orders. The form also runs a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which tells a person from a script by looking at how the browser behaves. It does not ask you to solve puzzles, and it does not identify you to us; Cloudflare sees the browser's connection details for that check and nothing you typed. When a request arrives, we have Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, read it once to summarize it and sort it. That summary is a note on our screen and nothing more; no reply is sent to you automatically. What is sent to Anthropic is your name, your email address and the text of your request, under commercial terms that do not allow it to be used for training. To spot floods of requests we also keep, for a month, the country a request came from, the kind of browser used, and a scrambled form of the IP address made with a secret key (not the address itself); it is cleared after the month.
A request for something that needs engineering, or has to fit a real part, is passed to J7 Creations, the technical side of our work, run by Thomas, one of the two of us. It stays in the same system, and he answers it as J7 Creations.
Requests that do not become a job are cleared within a month. Requests that do become a job stay with the job record.
Our phones get a notification when an order or request arrives. It says only that something arrived, and for an order its number, nothing about you.
Ben, the AI assistant
Ben, the Ask Ben button in the corner of every page, is an AI assistant, not a person. What you type into it is sent to Anthropic, whose Claude model writes his replies, under commercial terms that do not allow it to be used for training. While you are chatting, the conversation stays in your browser tab; nothing of it is kept on our side, and when you close the tab it is gone.
If you ask Ben to send something to us, a short form opens inside the chat with his summary and boxes for your name and email. Nothing is sent until you press Send, and what you type in those boxes comes straight to us, never to Ben. The conversation comes with it, so we can see what you asked for, and from then on it is kept like any other request, above.
The first question of a chat runs the same Cloudflare Turnstile check as the request form (above), and Ben's answer gives your browser a pass for the rest of the chat, good for twelve hours. To stop one connection running up the bill, we count the questions from a scrambled form of your IP address (made with a secret key, not the address itself) in an hour and in a day, for up to two days, and how many Ben answers in a day across our sites, only as numbers. Each question Ben answers is also counted under a topic, picked by its words from a fixed list (shipping, colors, sizes, prices and the like), and counted again if his answer says he could not answer it; only the topic is kept, never what you typed or what he wrote. Please don't type passwords or card numbers into it.
Digital products
When you buy a file, the download link works for 30 days and five downloads. We record each download against your order so we can tell when a link has run out and reissue it. We do not watermark files or track what you do with them after download.
Who else sees any of this
Stripe (card payment), Venmo, Cash App, Zelle and PayPal (when you pay that way, in their app), Cloudflare (hosting, email, counting visits, and the bot check on the request form, the checkout and Ben), Anthropic (reading custom requests, and writing Ben's replies, as above), and USPS (your name and address on the label). That is the whole list.
Your choices
Email shop@atomikmenace.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We answer as ourselves, not through a form.
